About the event

In this talk, Jacinta Noonan, a trained Psychologist specialising in ADHD will help you  understand how the ADHD brain operates and share insightful  information on why your child does what he/she does. You will learn why  parenting techniques that work for your other children  don’t work for your child with ADHD and what you can do instead. You will leave the session feeling much  better equipped to tweak your parenting skills for  the ADHD brain-wiring.

The session will also include a talk from Kairavi Vora, a homeopathic physician who will offer tips about using natural remedies to assist with the emotional symptoms expressed by your child. She will also include some additional information food and physical activities to help balance the overall health of your child. Kairavi works at the centre helping people with many conditions including anxiety, depression or other emotional imbalances.

Lastly, we'll hear from Adina Ciocoiu, Gestalt Counsellor (in training). She will guide a relational awareness exercise to explore the contact between parent and child. Through her training and lived experience, Adina supports individuals that struggle with personal/work relationships (such as burnout, anxiety, depression), navigating an expat/immigrant life or understanding the emotional aspects of chronic pain and traumatic injuries of the body.
